Little Ilford has secured £20 million over 10 years through the Government’s Pride in Place programme.
Pride in Place is about helping local areas shape their own future. It supports resident-led improvements, stronger communities and better local high streets.
For the voluntary sector, this is important. It should create opportunities for local community, faith and voluntary groups to help shape what happens next in Little Ilford, alongside residents and other partners.
The funding will help build on work already happening in the area and support a long-term plan for Little Ilford’s neighbourhoods, community spaces and high streets.
A local Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board will be set up, bringing together community, voluntary, faith, business and council representatives to help guide the programme over the next 10 years.
