For local organisations, particularly smaller and grassroots groups, understanding NHS commissioning is becoming increasingly important. It is not enough to hear about opportunities once funding has already been announced. Organisations need to understand how NHS priorities are set, what commissioners are looking for, how different funding and payment arrangements work, and importantly, how the VCFSE sector can help shape future commissioning before decisions are made.
This webinar is an opportunity to start building that understanding.
Dr Nnenna Osuji, CEO of North East London ICB, and Charlotte Pomery, Chief Strategic Commissioning Officer, will explain the developing direction of NHS strategic commissioning across North East London and what this could mean for the VCFSE sector.
The session will look at how VCFSE organisations can contribute to shaping priorities, how the NHS may commission services in the future, and what organisations need to start thinking about if they want to be ready to participate in and apply for future NHS funding opportunities.
For VCFSE organisations working to improve health and wellbeing in their communities, this is an important conversation to be part of. Understanding the system, the language and the commissioning process puts our sector in a much stronger position to influence decisions, develop partnerships and secure resources to deliver the work our communities need.
Monday 12 October | 1.30–3.30pm | Online
The session is open to VCFSE organisations across North East London. Go to Introduction to North East London ICB Strategic Commissioning - Tower Hamlets Council For Voluntary Service to book your space.
